Stone Sourcing

Diamond & Gemstone Sourcing

The Stone Comes First

Benny is a member of the Israeli Diamond Bourse in Ramat Gan, one of the world's major diamond trading centers. That membership puts him inside the trade itself, working with both rough and polished stones, not buying from a supplier's catalog like most jewelers do. People sometimes call this a diamantaire: someone who deals in diamonds and gemstones directly through the trade, rather than only designing and setting what's already in stock.

  • When you come to Benny with a stone in mind, whether it's a specific cut, a particular color, or something rare, he doesn't start from what's on hand. He sources it.
